Random Update Haul

Spring Break has officially started for me. I know it's early, but hey, a break is a break for me.  During the week I'll be posting some stuff of some items I've bought over the period of time where I havent said anything at all.  I've also got other pics to share as well. For now, I'll leave you all with a random haul of items.

 This is just some stuff. I got plenty others.  I'll do reviews for them if time permits. 

It's been awhile..

I do have realized that I haven't updated this.  I buy TONS of makeup and stuff but I never got around to actually reviewing them despite me either liking them or not liking them or am still using them now.

I do gotta say tho that since I started a 2nd job, the new job doesn't allow colored hair nor flashy nail colors/polishes/designs :( yeah, i know wtf.  But whatever, when I graduate and start working in a lab, I can do whatever the hell I want.. or at least I would hope so :P

anyways.  My current nails are gel nails with a natural look (no french tips or boogie nights, but am wearing falsies) and 4 plumeria 3D flowers on the thumbs and ring fingers.  Pictures up the next time I update, hopefully there will be some reviews. Until next time!

I Lied.

haha, I said i'd be back around mid-May and now it's already mid-June.  Sorry, I do want to post, but it's a matter of getting my priorities straight.  I've been organizing my hard drive and CDs for the past couple days and I'm still needing to work on cleaning and redecorating my room.

I do want to post something this weekend, but I'm not sure where to start.  I have 2 NOTW to put up and TONS of items that i've purchased over the last month and a half that I'd love to show.  Its just a matter of my priority right now, especially since summer session is about to start for me.  But I do promise to post something soon.

I also need to mention shopping session this Saturday.  Let's see if i'll come out with anything. I do tend to stop myself from buying stuff.  I'd rather save my money for something I need rather than want.

What's upcoming?

So after the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) nails, I was getting tired of them so I removed them once it hit one week.  I guess my habit of doing NOTW really got to the point where I HAVE to change them every week.  Definitely not always a good choice to, gotta let them breathe every once in awhile, which means I didn't do anything to my nails this week.  Not JUST because I should let them go bare, but I don't have any new colors at the moment that inspire me to make a new design, plus I'm stressing over upcoming finals.

Speaking of finals, I won't be posting (not that I post often anyways =/) until after finals, so if I do do any NOTW, i'll update with them after mid-May.  I also just ordered a new hair straightener which I'll review after May, plus it'll give me a time to actually try it out.


Also, hopefully by then I'll have some new polishes to give me inspiration, especially my A's color ones!

By the way, I've been watching a lot of Japanese dramas lately, more than I should be, and I feel like I can do some great NOTW inspired nails for many of the dramas I've seen.  We'll see what happens.  So until mid-May~

Where Are You?!

Yeah I know I haven't updated.  I'm going through some crazy stuff with school right now (not doing to well if I must say) so I haven't posted up anything since Feb.  I have every single NOTW saved on my computer and will find time to update when I can.

This is just an update on what I've been up to lately.
* Besides school, I went to Lake Tahoe with my family (our annual trip) and got to enjoy the snow before spring weathers hit the area.  Our new cabin that we rented was crazy huge and we got the whole backyard to play in for ourselves.  And when I mean backyard, I mean the woods.. it was THAT large. Large enough for some of my family to go snowboarding in!  We had to make our own trails since the snow was way too fresh, about 2-3 feet of new snow.. we came crashing down as soon as you stepped in.  I would like to add that my nails matched the occasion of snow, though I wasn't able to take a picture of it since I wasn't satisfied with the way they looked.

*It's baseball season, which means it's another year of going fan crazy like I always do.  Already started the season with some autographs from A's tailgate fanfest and also got to enjoy Japanese Heritage day at the ballpark (btw, I'm not Japanese, I'm just stating it was Japanese heritage haha).  With the recent events in Japan, it was a great day to celebrate heritage day with everyone, especially with all the "Ganbare, Nippon!" signs around the stadium.  Fashionably appropriate, I was wearing a Kurt Suzuki jersey shirt, A's jacket, Green/Yellow Converses and was able to get a Hideki Matsui player shirt as a promotional giveaway.

*I'm excited for SF Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival.  I haven't been to the event in 2 or 3 years, so there's a lot of things I want to see (and eat!).  I'll update with pictures from the festival, probably on my personal blog.. which I should be writing ALL THIS at.  In the spirit of the festival, I'll be painting my nails with Cherry Blossoms and after the week I'll be painting them to match Spring as soon as I get more colors.

Speaking of which, ULTA is having a great deal on some brand polishes this month.  Check it out if you have an Ulta around or check out their website. 

That should be it for now.  I'll hopefully put up pictures sometime after this weekend, but I have a midterm to study for on Thursday.  Ochem... FML -_-*

Random Buy

So I'm out shopping at Target like usual and I always stop by the cosmetics section, whether I'm picking something up or checking out new products and come across some clearance items from Milani Cosmetics.
Some of their polishes were actually on sale and I couldn't help but buy some.  They ran out of all the holographic colors (which is what I initially wanted to try), but noticed that 3 of the Nail Art polishes were on clearance as well.

There were 5 colors left, Black, White, Yellow, Green and Orange.  Since I already have the black and white, I decided to pick up the green and yellow colors.  I was going to buy green and yellow polishes for the upcoming baseball season from China Glaze, but I think that's going to have to wait since I got these two for now.

Looking at the colors from the outside, the yellow looks really bold which will be nice (since the A's have a yellow jersey this season) but the green color looks a bit paler than I'd like, hopefully it'll come out darker.
I can't wait to try these, but it seems its going to have to wait until maybe March.

What's to come

I'll be putting up the next NOTW by this Saturday.  I would have done it sooner, but I've been busy with school.  It's only the 4th day and already I feel beated down with stress.  Not very fun.. especially since my sleep schedule is really crazy.
Anyways, I'll go put that up by Saturday, and I'll be making a new design for the next coming week.  The polish I have on this week is actually peeling/chipping already.  Not very pretty, but I'll explain my thoughts on the next post.

In the meantime, I actually exchanged one of the China Glaze polishes that I showed in the last post for a different color, or colorS I should say.

I ended up exchanging the "Grape Juice" polish because I didn't like the way it looked when applied.  I ended up getting the two colors I originally wanted when I contemplated about whether or not I should get 2 or 4.  I'll do a review and NOTW when I get to them.

Update Success!

I'm really surprised that I actually sat here and updated for ALL that I had queued up and did so before school started.  I only have a couple days left of my break before school starts, which I'm pretty excited about, yet dreading at the same time.

Anyways, I should have a new NOTW for this week, but unfortunately, I don't.  Not because I'm too lazy to put it up, but because I didnt do my nails this week (I already broke my resolution.. haha).
I decided to let my nails go bare for now.  I do, however, have a strengthening coat applied to them right now, to make sure they don't break.  My nails tend to be weak, so they chip and break if they get too long.  I will be painting them this Friday though since I'll be going to a party on Saturday, so a new pic will be put up soon.

I just got two China Glaze polishes, my FIRST to be exact.  Yes I know, why so late, but I don't particularly paint my nails except the tips, so I don't usually need to get a whole bunch of different colored polishes.  I bought these from ULTA and they were on sale, which I was really happy about.  I was going to get 2 more, but I talked myself into only getting 2 for now.  I'll do a review of these colors after I get to try them.

Major Lagging..

Yeah I know, I said i'd have a tutorial up a loooong time ago, and I do have it, I just havent set it up (hehe =X).
I've also got a ton of other pictures to put up as well.

I don't usually do New Year's Resolutions cuz I tend to fail at doing them, but I've decided that I should make some.. at least fashion/style wise.
1) I will change my nail art once a week.
     I've actually started doing this since before Christmas, and thought I'd continue it.  I'm already on my 4th or 5th different style right now.
2) I will wear makeup to school everyday.
    I know that sounds bad, but I usually go to school as if I just woke up, and that just isnt pretty haha
Maybe I should change that to "I will make myself look presentable at school everyday" ;)
3) I will try to accessorize my daily outfits
    I usually don't wear anything extra except the same star necklace whenever I'm out.  I've recently been wearing rings and scarves and hair clips
4) I will try to fix up my hair, and not just leave it straight down everyday.

This isn't a resolution, but one time I want to be able to do a 30-day challenge where I only have a few select items that I can wear and only wear those for 30 days.. a good chance to mix and match and make up new outfits :)

Before I head back to school, I PROMISE to put up pictures and such.  Maybe if I'm not lazy i'll be able to do so tonight~

edit// HAHA, I'm so contradictory.  I noticed that my first blog post about how I am changed with my resolution for this year that "there's a place and time to dress up.. I like to bum around" to "i need to make myself look presentable."  I mean, I don't literally bum around like in sweats or pjs to school, I actually do dress up, but I'm more casual.  But I think now, I'm feeling myself wanting to dress up a bit more.

Coming Up!

Sorry for the lack of reviews, but school started and I've been way too busy with classes to do anything related.  It's really hard for me to actually do anything nail related since I have a lab class this semester.  Though we don't have any restrictions, it's kind of hard to do all the stuff I do in micro lab with nice, done-up, nails without them getting ruined in a day.  So lately my nails have been naked and haven't been touched with polish since the last post (and my hands drier than ever ><).

I just wanted to update to mention what will be coming up next.
I'll actually be doing a TUTORIAL next using artificial nails.  In fact, I'll be using the burgundy colored Nailene Nail Studio nails and actually touching them up with a bit of my imagination. 
My sister will be getting married next month and lucky for me that these nails fit the color scheme.  I've also just bought a decorating nail stand for artificial nails which I can't wait to try out.  So I'll be working on them as soon as I find some free time (and get the right colors =X).   Until then!
